New-look Williams hails 'fresh start'

JEREZ, Spain (AP) Kimi Raikkonen's Formula One comeback with Lotus got off to a perfect start as the former world champion was fastest on the first day of preseason testing on Tuesday.

Vettel predicts tight fight for F1 title

MILTON KEYNES, England (AP) Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel has predicted a closer fight for the driver's title this year because of new regulations that will prevent his Red Bull team using its pioneering exhaust-blown diffusers.

MARANELLO, Italy (AP) Ferrari unveiled its completely overhauled Formula One car in a low-key Internet presentation Friday after the full launch was canceled due to a snowstorm.

TOKYO (AP) Japanese driver Takuma Sato has signed a deal with IndyCar team Rahal-Letterman Racing, Honda Motorsports announced on Friday.

LONDON (AP) Sauber's technical director stood down from his role at the Formula One team on Friday, six weeks before the 2012 season.
