Analysis: Gonzalez left Sunday’s game early when his back locked up again, and had an MRI exam on Monday. He's hitting just .255 with one home run.

Analysis: Gonzalez left in the seventh after complaining his back locked up again. He said he has two herniated disks and an MRI is scheduled. ''Tried my best to put together good at-bats and keep hitting pitches that I normally hit, but my body's not letting me get there, so you've got to do what's best for the team,'' he said.

It left him with a case of tennis elbow, or inflammation on the outside of the elbow after forearm tendons are overused. The hitting break is purely a precaution, and Gonzalez said the injury isn't thought to be serious by the Dodgers.
