Dec. 27 11:33 AM PT12:33 PM MT1:33 PM CT2:33 PM ET7:33 PM GMT3:33 AM 北京时间-Vick was listed as the third quarterback for Philadelphia's game against Denver on Sunday after missing practice all week with a quadriceps contusion.
Analysis: Vick got hurt on a running play in the Eagles' win over San Francisco last week. Kevin Kolb backed up Donovan McNabb against the Broncos.
Dec. 20 1:10 PM PT2:10 PM MT3:10 PM CT4:10 PM ET9:10 PM GMT5:10 AM 北京时间-Vick left Sunday's game against San Francisco with a thigh injury and will not return.
Analysis: Vick was stopped on a third-and-1 late in the first quarter and left the field on his own power. He took a seat on the bench and was treated by the training staff. Vick left for the locker room at the end of the quarter. Vick was on the field for three plays. He ran twice for 2 yards.
Dec. 7 10:22 AM PT11:22 AM MT12:22 PM CT1:22 PM ET6:22 PM GMT2:22 AM 北京时间-Vick scored a pair of touchdowns _ one running, the other passing, both of them his first since 2006 _ to help lead Philadelphia to a 34-7 victory over Atlanta on Sunday.
Analysis: "It couldn't have happened at a better time," Vick said. "I want to become one of the top quarterbacks in this league again." Vick ran for a 5-yard touchdown in the third quarter, his first since Oct. 15, 2006. With the game out of hand, he threw a 5-yard scoring pass to Brent Celek early in the fourth, his first TD throw since that final season with the Falcons.
Nov. 29 1:52 PM PT2:52 PM MT3:52 PM CT4:52 PM ET9:52 PM GMT5:52 AM 北京时间-Vick will play his first game in Atlanta since 2006 when the Philadelphia Eagles visit Sunday. Vick says he's prepared for the scrutiny that will come this week when he faces his former team for the first time.
Analysis: Vick was a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback during his six seasons with the Falcons. He served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring. Vick has had limited playing time with the Eagles this season. He has 15 carries for 65 yards and is 3 for 9 for 6 yards passing. He nearly scored his first TD since 2006 in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Redskins, running 4 yards to the 1.
Nov. 23 2:22 PM PT3:22 PM MT4:22 PM CT5:22 PM ET10:22 PM GMT6:22 AM 北京时间-In Sunday's 24-20 win over Chicago, Vick took a direct snap and broke through the middle for a 34-yard run - his longest since returning to the league -on the game's first possession, leading to a 25-yard field goal by David Akers.
Analysis: Vick has completed 3 of 8 passes for six yards and carried 13 times for 61 yards this season.
Nov. 10 1:51 PM PT2:51 PM MT3:51 PM CT4:51 PM ET9:51 PM GMT5:51 AM 北京时间-A federal appeals court on Tuesday backed the judge who ruled against the NFL and let Vick keep more than $16 million in roster bonuses from the Atlanta Falcons. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday affirmed Judge David Doty's order saying Vick had already earned the bonuses before his dogfighting conviction, so the money wasn't subject to forfeiture.
Analysis: Vick, a former Atlanta Falcons star, was released from federal custody July 20 after serving 18 months of a 23-month sentence for running a dogfighting ring in Surry County, Va. The Eagles signed Vick to a $1.6 million contract for 2009, with a team option for the second year at $5.2 million, but he has not played much.
Oct. 15 4:25 PM PT5:25 PM MT6:25 PM CT7:25 PM ET12:25 AM GMT8:25 AM 北京时间-A Bay Area animal rights group is planning a protest against Vick before his game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The group In Defense of Animals says it will protest outside Oakland Coliseum before Vick plays his first road game for the Philadelphia Eagles since being reinstated to the NFL following an 18-month prison sentence for his involvement in a dogfighting ring. The group says Vick has not shown proper remorse.
Analysis: Vick has not been a major factor so far in his first season with Philadelphia.
Oct. 12 10:38 AM PT11:38 AM MT12:38 PM CT1:38 PM ET6:38 PM GMT2:38 AM 北京时间-Vick completed 1 of 3 passes for one yard in Philadelphia's 33-14 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Analysis: The lopsided score allowed Vick to take extra snaps under center in the fourth quarter instead of running the wildcat offense. He completed his first pass in 33 months and had an 11-yard run.
Oct. 11 2:23 PM PT3:23 PM MT4:23 PM CT5:23 PM ET10:23 PM GMT6:23 AM 北京时间-For the first time in 33 months, Vick took a few snaps and even showed a flash of his old dazzling style on Sunday. Vick put the finishing touches on the Philadelphia Eagles' 33-14 win over Tampa Bay, playing the final two series and shaking off a hard hit to his ribs.
Analysis: Except for blowouts, Vick likely won't get many more shots at running the offense in Philadelphia. Donovan McNabb isn't going anywhere unless he's hurt and Kevin Kolb stepped in the last two games and threw for over 300 yards in two straight starts.
Sep. 28 2:40 PM PT3:40 PM MT4:40 PM CT5:40 PM ET10:40 PM GMT6:40 AM 北京时间-Vick was quiet in his first NFL game since 2006, running once for seven yards and failing to complete either of his pass attempts. His 11 plays, which included seven handoffs, resulted in a net of 30 yards.
Analysis: Vick spent most of the game on the sideline watching youngsters Kevin Kolb, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson lead the Eagles to a one-sided victory. "I think I played fairly well," Vick said. "I made good decisions with the plays I had. I missed one ball across the middle. I think I could have hit that. I have to make sure I keep my arm warm on the sideline so when I go in there I am not cold. My focus was to be smart and not turn the ball over."
Sep. 27 9:43 AM PT10:43 AM MT11:43 AM CT12:43 PM ET5:43 PM GMT1:43 AM 北京时间-Vick is back in the NFL and he didn't have to wait long to get in the game.
Analysis: On the second play from scrimmage in the Philadelphia Eagles' game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Vick lined up as a wide receiver, went in motion, had a handoff faked to him and then watched as LeSean McCoy lost a yard on a carry. Vick returned for the Eagles' second offensive series, running the option and keeping the ball for a 7-yard gain. He also attempted his first pass from the Chiefs 5, but it fell incomplete.
Sep. 23 8:28 AM PT9:28 AM MT10:28 AM CT11:28 AM ET4:28 PM GMT12:28 AM 北京时间-Eagles coach Andy Reid hasn't decided if Vick of Jeff Garcia will be the backup quarterback Sunday if Kevin Kolb has to start in place of Donovan McNabb again.
Analysis: Reid wouldn't even say that Vick is definitely playing against the Chiefs. Vick is eligible for the first time after serving a two-game suspension as the final league penalty for his role in running a dogfighting ring. McNabb will not practice Wednesday because of a broken rib that forced him to miss the Eagles' 48-22 loss to New Orleans last Sunday. Kolb made his first NFL start against the Saints, throwing for 391 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Sep. 15 12:21 PM PT1:21 PM MT2:21 PM CT3:21 PM ET8:21 PM GMT4:21 AM 北京时间-The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated Michael Vick to the team's 53-man roster.
Analysis: The Eagles released receiver Hank Baskett to make room for Vick, who is eligible to play on Sept. 27 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team said on its Web site that Vick, who had been on the exempt list, will begin practicing with the team on Wednesday, though he cannot play in Sunday's home opener against the New Orleans Saints. Vick was suspended for the first two regular-season games as the final league penalty for his role in running a dogfighting ring.
Sep. 4 11:24 AM PT12:24 PM MT1:24 PM CT2:24 PM ET7:24 PM GMT3:24 AM 北京时间-Despite a 2-yard touchdown run, Vick was hardly dynamic in his first significant action since the 2006 season, hours after finding out he'll be fully reinstated in Week 3. He was sacked four times, lost a fumble and was intercepted as the New York Jets beat the Eagles 38-27 on Thursday night.
Analysis: Vick finished 7 for 11 for 26 yards, and carried the ball seven times for 35 yards. "It was good to get him in there," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "I'm sure he'll be a little sore tomorrow. That's OK. He'll have a couple of weeks to recover from it."
Sep. 3 12:36 PM PT1:36 PM MT2:36 PM CT3:36 PM ET8:36 PM GMT4:36 AM 北京时间-NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says Vick is eligible to play beginning in the third game of the regular season. Previously, Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement by no later than Week 6.
Analysis: Goodell met with Vick for 45 minutes Thursday before announcing his decision. Vick, recently signed by the Eagles, played in last week's exhibition game and was expected to play against the New York Jets on Thursday night.
Aug. 30 10:38 AM PT11:38 AM MT12:38 PM CT1:38 PM ET6:38 PM GMT2:38 AM 北京时间-Philadelphia offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg doesn't expect the insertion of Vick into the Eagles offense to disrupt its rhythm. ``Not at all,'' Mornhinweg said. ``We'll straighten that out. We'll take care of that. Michael is going to help this offense. I'm confident of that.''
Analysis: Vick played in just six plays Thursday night in the preseason game against Jacksonville. Quarterback Donovan McNabb told Mornhinweg and coach Andy Reid that Vick coming in and out interfered with he flow of the game.
Aug. 27 7:29 AM PT8:29 AM MT9:29 AM CT10:29 AM ET3:29 PM GMT11:29 PM 北京时间-Vick has arrived at a Virginia court so a judge can consider his bankruptcy plan to pay back more than $20 million he owes to creditors. The plan was overwhelmingly approved in a ballot by the creditors and Judge Frank Santoro was set to consider the plan Thursday morning in Newport News.
Analysis: After the hearing, Vick is scheduled to return to Philadelphia to make his debut with the Eagles in a preseason game. Vick was released from federal custody July 20 after serving 18 months of a 23-month sentence for his role in running a dogfighting ring.
Aug. 27 4:08 PM PT5:08 PM MT6:08 PM CT7:08 PM ET12:08 AM GMT8:08 AM 北京时间-In his first action in nearly 32 months, Vick has a new role: do-it-all quarterback.
Analysis: Vick completed a key pass to set up a field goal on his fourth play in Philadelphia's game against Jacksonville on Thursday night. He was 3 for 3 for 17 yards through the first three series. On Philadelphia's second possession, Vick was on the field for three plays, two at quarterback and one as a slot receiver.
Aug. 25 9:58 AM PT10:58 AM MT11:58 AM CT12:58 PM ET5:58 PM GMT1:58 AM 北京时间-Vick will make his preseason debut for the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.
Analysis: It's unknown how much Vick will play against Jacksonville. Donovan McNabb and the rest of the starters are slated to play three quarters, and Reid said Vick won't play in the fourth quarter. That means Vick could spell McNabb and get reps with the first-team offense. It's also likely he could be used in a variation of the wildcat formation. Reid said he's not concerned about showing off such packages in a preseason game.
Aug. 22 9:29 AM PT10:29 AM MT11:29 AM CT12:29 PM ET5:29 PM GMT1:29 AM 北京时间-Vick will make his Eagles debut Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars if all goes well over the next three days of practice, coach Andy Reid said Saturday. "I think there is a chance of that,'' Reid said. "Right now that's the plan. But we'll see how it goes.''
Analysis: Vick signed with Philadelphia on Aug. 13 but was not allowed to play in the team's first two preseason games under the provisions of his suspension from the league. "He's working out,'' Reid said. "He looks good.''
Aug. 18 7:04 AM PT8:04 AM MT9:04 AM CT10:04 AM ET3:04 PM GMT11:04 PM 北京时间-Vick will not travel with the team for their preseason game at Indianapolis. Vick is not eligible to play in Thursday night's game. Vick is allowed to travel.
Analysis: An Eagles spokesman said Tuesday that coach Andy Reid does not usually bring players who will not play. Vick, who has been practicing with the Eagles, can only play in the last two preseason games.
Aug. 17 10:53 AM PT11:53 AM MT12:53 PM CT1:53 PM ET6:53 PM GMT2:53 AM 北京时间-Donovan McNabb says he has no problem with Vick taking some of his snaps and warns opponents that the two quarterbacks could be on the field together at times.
Analysis: Vick was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles last week to add a different dimension to the team's offense, not to push McNabb for a starting job. It's likely that Vick, a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback in six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, will be used in a variation of the Wildcat formation. But even in that scenario, McNabb won't necessarily be watching from the sideline. "I'll be a receiver. I might be a tight end,'' he said. "You never know where I'll be."
Aug. 16 12:08 PM PT1:08 PM MT2:08 PM CT3:08 PM ET8:08 PM GMT4:08 AM 北京时间-Vick spent an extra 20 minutes on the field after Eagles practice ended, trying to catch up on Philadelphia's offense and get back into playing shape.
Analysis: Vick was in good spirits Sunday and shared some laughs with teammate Donovan McNabb. Vick completed some deep passes during the 110-minute practice and had one broken up during a goal-line drill. Vick practiced with the Eagles for the second time since he signed Thursday for $1.6 million with a team option for a second year at $5.2 million.
Aug. 15 8:25 AM PT9:25 AM MT10:25 AM CT11:25 AM ET4:25 PM GMT12:25 AM 北京时间-Vick is on an NFL practice field for the first time since serving his prison sentence.
Analysis: Vick ran the scout team offense in Saturday morning's walkthrough practice with the Philadelphia Eagles. He's expected to do more when the team returns to the field in the afternoon.
Aug. 14 9:29 AM PT10:29 AM MT11:29 AM CT12:29 PM ET5:29 PM GMT1:29 AM 北京时间-A remorseful Vick wants a second chance and vowed to crusade for animal rights with the Philadelphia Eagles - and knows he won't be easily forgiven by fans. "I know I've done some terrible things, made a horrible mistake. Now I want to be part of the solution and not the problem," Vick said Friday, referring to his conviction for his role in running a dogfighting ring.
Analysis: Vick was introduced by the Eagles a day after signing a one-year deal with a team option for a second year. Vick, dressed in a gray pinstriped suit, was flanked by Eagles coach Andy Reid and mentor Tony Dungy. "I really got the sense he wanted to do some great things," Dungy said. "He wanted to be a positive role model for young people. He wanted to get back to his family."
Aug. 13 4:59 PM PT5:59 PM MT6:59 PM CT7:59 PM ET12:59 AM GMT8:59 AM 北京时间-Vick is back in the NFL after landing a job with the Philadelphia Eagles. Vick's agent, Joel Segal, confirmed Thursday that the sides had a deal.
Analysis: Vick has not played in the NFL since 2006. The former Atlanta Falcons star was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, and was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison. He also was suspended indefinitely by the NFL. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally lifted Vick's suspension on July 27, allowing him to sign with a team.
Aug. 11 7:10 AM PT8:10 AM MT9:10 AM CT10:10 AM ET3:10 PM GMT11:10 PM 北京时间-Vick's agent says ``there are a lot of teams interested'' in signing his client. Joel Segal visited the Washington Redskins training camp Tuesday, but he insisted the trip was not Vick-related. He told ESPN 980 radio that he was checking in on some of his Redskins clients, including Jason Campbell, DeAngelo Hall and LaRon Landry.
Analysis: Segal said he was optimistic that Vick would get a job soon, calling it "not a matter of if, but when." Vick was conditionally reinstated by the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell last month after the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback completed a 23-month sentence for running a dogfighting ring.
Aug. 9 7:48 PM PT8:48 PM MT9:48 PM CT10:48 PM ET3:48 AM GMT11:48 AM 北京时间-Tony Dungy says he's spoken to "quite a few" NFL coaches about Vick.
Analysis: Dungy, the former Colts' coach, has been mentoring Vick, who served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring and was released from home confinement last month. During Sunday night's NBC broadcast of the Hall of Fame game, Dungy said, "I've talked to quite a few coaches who want to get my thoughts on where (Vick) is." Dungy says Vick has talked to several teams and believes the former Falcons' quarterback will be with a team before training camp ends.
Aug. 3 12:20 PM PT1:20 PM MT2:20 PM CT3:20 PM ET8:20 PM GMT4:20 AM 北京时间-A hometown celebration for Vick in Virginia has been postponed. An organizer of the ``Michael Vick Community Celebration'' scheduled for Saturday says the job-hunting former NFL quarterback informed him Monday he could not appear at the Newport News event because of a conflict.
Analysis: President Andrew Shannon of the Peninsula chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference says Vick told him he had a commitment with the Humane Society of the United States. He did not know if the event was open to the public. A spokesman for the Humane Society did not immediately return a telephone message left by The Associated Press.
Jun. 30 9:17 AM PT10:17 AM MT11:17 AM CT12:17 PM ET5:17 PM GMT1:17 AM 北京时间-Vick said Thursday that he is getting close to signing with a professional football team but refused to elaborate. Vick made the comment to reporters as he left a courtroom after a hearing in his bankruptcy case. Asked about his progress in signing with a team, Vick said: "We're getting close." He declined to answer additional questions.
Analysis: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally reinstated Vick on Monday, a week after the former Atlanta Falcons star completed his 23-month sentence for running a dogfighting ring. Vick is free to sign with a team and could be playing in the NFL by week six.
Jun. 27 11:32 AM PT12:32 PM MT1:32 PM CT2:32 PM ET7:32 PM GMT3:32 AM 北京时间-Vick has been conditionally reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Analysis: Vick can participate without delay in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games - if he can find a team that will sign him. Once the season begins, Vick may participate in all team activities except games, and Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement by Week 6 (Oct. 18-19).
Jun. 23 3:22 PM PT4:22 PM MT5:22 PM CT6:22 PM ET11:22 PM GMT7:22 AM 北京时间-Two people familiar with the meeting say Vick and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell talked Wednesday at a security firm in New Jersey.
Analysis: Vick and three members of his team, including agent Joel Segal, attended the meeting with Goodell, according to two people who requested anonymity because the NFL has not acknowledged the meeting.
Jun. 20 11:58 AM PT12:58 PM MT1:58 PM CT2:58 PM ET7:58 PM GMT3:58 AM 北京时间-Vick ended his federal dogfighting sentence Monday, freeing him to lobby for a return to the field.
Analysis: Vick's attorney Lawrence Woodward told The Associated Press outside Vick's suburban Virginia home that the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback had been released from federal custody as scheduled. That means Vick no longer has to wear the electronic monitor he's had while under home confinement for the last two months of his 23-month sentence.
Jul. 25 2:37 PM PT3:37 PM MT4:37 PM CT5:37 PM ET10:37 PM GMT6:37 AM 北京时间-Commissioner Roger Goodell says he is beginning to focus on evaluating Vick's future in the NFL.
Analysis: But Goodell said Thursday his decision on the former Atlanta Falcons star quarterback will come "in due time" and not necessarily before the season begins. Goodell says he has yet to speak to Vick, and won't sit down with him until after Vick is released July 20 from home confinement and federal custody. Vick is currently suspended from the league because of his involvement in a dogfighting ring.
Jul. 12 7:11 AM PT8:11 AM MT9:11 AM CT10:11 AM ET3:11 PM GMT11:11 PM 北京时间-The Atlanta Falcons relinquished its contractual rights to Vick on Friday. Owner Arthur Blank had said earlier that Vick would not return to the team. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has not committed to reinstating Vick after the quarterback completes his 23-month sentence on July 20 for running a dogfighting ring.
Analysis: "Michael remains suspended by the NFL,'' Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said. "However, in the event NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decides to reinstate Michael, we feel his best opportunity to re-engage his football career would be at another club."
May 21 4:51 PM PT5:51 PM MT6:51 PM CT7:51 PM ET12:51 AM GMT8:51 AM 北京时间-Vick arrived at his Virginia home by car a day after being released from a federal prison in Kansas to start home confinement and a job in construction but with hopes of making it back to the playing field someday.
Analysis: Vick spent 19 months at the prison in Leavenworth, Kan., after his conviction for financing a dogfighting operation. He will spend the next two months under home confinement wearing an electronic monitor. He's scheduled to be released from federal custody on July 20, and then faces three more years of supervised probation. His ultimate goal is a return to the NFL. Chief among his challenges is rehabilitating his image.
May 19 11:43 AM PT12:43 PM MT1:43 PM CT2:43 PM ET7:43 PM GMT3:43 AM 北京时间-Vick's future in the NFL will hinge on him convincing commissioner Roger Goodell that he's truly remorseful for the mistakes he's made. That was Goodell's message Tuesday, speaking of the quarterback only hours before he was expected to be released from a federal prison in Kansas. Vick will need not only to say he's sorry, but convince Goodell he means those words if there's any chance his indefinite suspension will be lifted.
Analysis: Goodell and Vick will meet sometime about reinstatement, but not before the remainder of Vick's sentence is completed. Once released from prison, Vick will remain largely in home confinement until July 20.
May 19 12:37 PM PT1:37 PM MT2:37 PM CT3:37 PM ET8:37 PM GMT4:37 AM 北京时间-The Humane Society of the United States says Vick wants to work with the group on a program aimed at eradicating dogfighting among urban teens.
Analysis: Society president Wayne Pacelle tells The Associated Press that he met with Vick at the federal prison in Leavenworth, Kan., and that the meeting came after Vick's legal team approached the animal-rights group. Vick was convicted of financing a dogfighting ring and participating in the executions of poorly performing pit bulls and has spent the past 19 months in federal prison. He's due to be released to home confinement this week.
May 18 11:05 AM PT12:05 PM MT1:05 PM CT2:05 PM ET7:05 PM GMT3:05 AM 北京时间-Even though Vick is leaving prison this week, he won't exactly be a free man. For two months, the suspended NFL star will be largely confined to his Hampton home and will wear an electronic monitor that allows federal probation officials to track his movements.
Analysis: He will be allowed to go to his full-time construction job and likely will be allowed about five hours a week for other court-approved activities, according to Ed Bales, managing director of Federal Prison Consultants, an inmate rehabilitation advocacy group.
May 5 12:05 PM PT1:05 PM MT2:05 PM CT3:05 PM ET8:05 PM GMT4:05 AM 北京时间-Vick and Tony Dungy have met at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan., where the former star quarterback is imprisoned. Vick's agent, Joel Segal, confirmed that they met Tuesday. Segal calls the meeting "private" and "positive."
Analysis: Vick is serving a 23-month sentence for bankrolling a dogfighting conspiracy. He is due to be transferred May 21 to home confinement in Hampton, Va.Dungy retired as the Colts' coach in January, two years after he led Indianapolis to a Super Bowl title. He has long been involved in prison ministries and is the kind of positive influence who could help Vick regain his football career.
Apr. 16 12:03 PM PT1:03 PM MT2:03 PM CT3:03 PM ET8:03 PM GMT4:03 AM 北京时间-Vick has returned to a federal prison in Kansas after a stint in Virginia for his bankruptcy case.
Analysis: The U.S. Bureau of Prisons Web site showed Thursday that Vick was back in prison in Leavenworth, Kan., where he's been serving 23 months for bankrolling a dogfighting ring. Vick was held in a local jail in Virginia for several days to testify at his bankruptcy hearing earlier this month. A judge threw out Vick's bankruptcy plan. According to the Web site, Vick is scheduled to be released July 20.
Apr. 10 1:19 PM PT2:19 PM MT3:19 PM CT4:19 PM ET9:19 PM GMT5:19 AM 北京时间-Vick is back in Atlanta, the city where he rose to NFL stardom, but as a prisoner, an official said Friday. Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Felicia Ponce said the suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback was moved to a medium-security unit in southeast Atlanta from Virginia, where he had been held while attending a bankruptcy hearing last Friday.
Analysis: The 28-year-old is scheduled to transfer to home confinement May 21 in Hampton, Va., and is set to be released from federal custody in July.
Mar. 31 11:41 AM PT12:41 PM MT1:41 PM CT2:41 PM ET7:41 PM GMT3:41 AM 北京时间-Vick has agreed to pay the Atlanta Falcons at least $6.5 million as part of his bankruptcy case, clearing the way for the team to release him before training camp.
Analysis: The settlement was reached ahead of Vick's bankruptcy hearing in Virginia on Thursday. The suspended quarterback arrived in his home state Monday afternoon and was being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk, Va. According to a bankruptcy court filing, the Falcons have settled their claim that Vick owed them nearly $21.2 million for bonuses he received before his guilty plea to federal dogfighting charges.
Feb. 20 2:37 PM PT3:37 PM MT4:37 PM CT5:37 PM ET10:37 PM GMT6:37 AM 北京时间-San Francisco and Minnesota might be interested in acquiring Vick.
Analysis: Vick is in federal prison on felony charges related to dogfighting and is scheduled to be released in July. San Francisco coach Mike Singletary said Vick deserves the chance to play in the league, and believes he will be successful if he returns. He wouldn't say if the 49ers would pursue him. Minnesota coach Brad Childress said the Vikings are looking for someone to challenge Tarvaris Jackson, and are willing to make moves to ensure that it happens.
Feb. 13 11:31 AM PT12:31 PM MT1:31 PM CT2:31 PM ET7:31 PM GMT3:31 AM 北京时间-Atlanta general manager Thomas Dimitroff said Friday the Falcons will try to trade the contract rights on Vick to another team.
Analysis: Vick is currently in federal prison on felony charges related to dogfighting and is scheduled to be released in July. Vick has a contract that runs to 2013 and calls for him to receive a base salary of $9 million and a bonus of $6.43 million in 2009. The remainder of the contract is worth $45.11 million, with another possible $3 million in Pro Bowl bonuses.
